New Video: End of Fall Haul!

NOTD - Nail Of The Day: Sally Hansen's Slick Slate and Disco Ball Nail Polishes

Hey everyone! Here's my first NOTD - Nail of the Day post. 

I've posted pictures of my nails and the polishes I use on twitter a few times before but this is my first blog post about my nails!

Here's a picture of my current manicure wearing the Sally Hansen polishes I used:

I painted all my nails with Sally Hansen's Slick Slate polish. It's a purpley-gray color. I used three coats.

I used a glitter top coat polish by Sally Hansen as well for my ring finger to serve as a sparkly accent nail.

This is one of my favorite nail looks for this winter :)

Thanksgiving Break Videos!

This is an update/continuation kinda from my what's coming to my channel post.

I tried to film the furry friend tag with my dog but she would not sit still. So I will have to try again during winter break. Also I wasn't able to film the leggings lookbook but that will also be filmed during winter break! I did however film 5 videos this thanksgiving break! They are all in production and will be uploaded during the course of december. Good news: I did film a tutorial!!! It's a celebrity inspired look. I'm not sure if I will be able to edit it until towards the end of december but it will be uploaded eventually so stay tuned :)

Where Have I Been + What's Coming Soon for My Youtube Channel & This Blog!

My apologies for not really keeping up with this blog or my youtube channel but I have been quite busy lately. As many of you know or if you don't know, I'm currently attending college. During the semester, I don't live at home. I live in a dorm building so it's pretty hard to film videos when I share a room with two other people and there is always noise going on whether it be in the hallways or outside. Also I don't have much time to film since I have to go to class and have a lot homework and am usually hanging out with friends. I don't like that I let this blog or youtube slip through the cracks. I honestly just haven't had enough time to be posting regularly on the blog or uploading regularly on my youtube channel called Beauty with Michelle.  Youtube is such a fun hobby for me that I definitely don't want to give it up any time soon. The few videos I have filmed in my dorm have been:

 - What's In My Fridge: College Edition
- Ask me questions for a college Q & A
- My Halloween Costume

I was going to make a video all about answering my viewers' questions about college but I only got 2 questions. If more people ask me questions then I will definitely make that video! Anyway these videos haven't really consisted of much beauty related topics like my usual videos are. But turn your frown upside down because beauty videos will be resuming this week! I thought I wasn't going to be able to film until winter break but Thanksgiving break starts this Wednesday so I am able to film and edit videos! I'm very excited and have a lot of ideas for new videos for my channel. A few ideas include: 

- Fall Haul

- Sweater Weather Tag

- Look Book: How I Style Leggings

- Furry Friend Tag (with my dog, been meaning to do this for ages)

- Common White Girl Tag

- and a few tutorials which I'll keep a secret until they're in production

I'm doing more fall themed videos plus a few random tag videos. I also miss doing makeup tutorials! Those take a long time to film and edit, although I will be trying to film some in the near future so stay tuned for those. As for the future of this blog. I really want to post more frequently on it. I wanna do reviews of different makeup products that I own, outfit of the days, and nail of the days! I don't know how often I will be posting on this blog but I will try my best to post more than I do now. 

Side note: I never did a follow up post on the splat hair chalk that I did a post about. If you guys do want a follow up post on that, let me know. If not that one post will stand alone. 

Lastly, I want to know what you guys want to see from my youtube channel and this blog! Any types of videos or posts having to do with beauty, fashion, advice, ect. Just leave a request and I'll look into doing a post or video about it!

Hair Chalking: Splat Hair Chalk

Last summer and heading into this summer, I've seen countless pictures of girls on tumblr and weheartit with dip dyed or chalked hair. Meaning girls putting bright or pastel colors in their hair either permanently or temporarily. I love the way this looks on people and I've wanted to switch my hair for a while now. Here are some pictures I've been inspired by:

I for one have never dyed my hair and I don't plan to start right now. But I wanted to try out this hair trend in a temporary way. I found out about Splat Washable Hair Chalk from one of the youtube gurus I watch regularly. Then I watched half a dozen videos about said product and was convinced that this is what I had been looking for. I purchased a box today at CVS for $6.49. I got it in the color Violet Sky which is a pinky purple shade. I tried it on a single strand of hair and really liked how it looked.

It was very easy to do! With this color in some lighting it looks more purple, in other lighting it looks more pink. I will make a post later in the summer with a more complete look and a full review of this product. So far I think it's a winner! What do you think of this colorful hair trend? Hello! Welcome to my blog. This is my first ever post on this website. Let's get to know each other, shall we? I'm Michelle and I'm going to be discussing beauty things on here. Hence the title of this blog! I'm in my twenties and I'm from the United States. I love all things beauty from makeup to hair products to perfumes and everything in between. I'll also be posting about fashion from time to time. I'm quite knowledgeable on those subjects because for three years I have been producing beauty videos on YouTube. Also I upload more personal videos from time and time. I have watched thousands of YouTube videos about makeup and hair. I absolutely love talking about girly things like that.
