Last summer and heading into this summer, I've seen countless pictures of girls on tumblr and weheartit with dip dyed or chalked hair. Meaning girls putting bright or pastel colors in their hair either permanently or temporarily. I love the way this looks on people and I've wanted to switch my hair for a while now. I for one have never dyed my hair and I don't plan to start right now. But I wanted to try out this hair trend in a temporary way. I found out about Splat Washable Hair Chalk from one of the youtube gurus I watch regularly. Then I watched half a dozen videos about said product and was convinced that this is what I had been looking for. I purchased a box today at CVS for $6.49. I got it in the color Violet Sky which is a pinky purple shade. I tried it on a single strand of hair and really liked how it looked.
It was very easy to do! With this color in some lighting it looks more purple, in other lighting it looks more pink. I will make a post later in the summer with a more complete look and a full review of this product. So far I think it's a winner! What do you think of this colorful hair trend?
